Descendente de duas gerações de colaboradores da Caixa Rural de Agudo, atual Sicredi Centro Serra RS. Residia na casa que abrigava a sede da cooperativa, da qual também foi gerente.
“Em 1927, o meu avô participou da fundação da cooperativa, que funcionou na casa dele até 1965. Eu comecei como funcionário em 1975. Fui gerente até 1997, o ano em que fecharia 70 anos que a gerência estava com a família. Quando comecei a trabalhar, toda a contabilidade era feita no punho, tínhamos muitas dificuldades com comunicação, uma realidade muito diferente de hoje. Hoje em dia, a administração precisa ser mais ágil, a coisa tem que andar.”
A descendant of two generations of employees of the Rural Bank of Agudo (today, Sicredi Centro Serra RS). He lived in the house where the cooperative network was located, and also served as its manager.
“In 1927, my grandfather was involved in the founding of the credit union, which operated out of his home until 1965. I began working there in 1975. I was manager until 1997, which marked 70 years of my family managing the credit union. When I starting working, all the accounting was done by hand and we had a lot of communication problems, a reality very different from today. Nowadays, management has to be more flexible; things need to keep moving.”
Um dos associados mais antigos do Sicredi: em 1940, com nove anos de idade, associou-se à Caixa Rural em Linha Imperial, conhecida como Bauernkasse pelos imigrantes alemães.
“Eu me associei aqui com nove anos de idade, em 1940. Naquela época, era Caixa Rural ainda, não era Sicredi. O meu pai já tinha dinheiro aplicado na cooperativa e, no final de ano, ele foi para lá. Eu mandei os níqueis que eu tinha, que eu ganhava dos avós, dos pais, dos
vizinhos. A gente foi confiando no Sicredi desde aquela época. Hoje, eu tenho ainda mais confiança. Eu sempre fui cooperativista e associativista. Meu espírito é esse.”
One of Sicredi’s longest members. In 1940, at age 9, he became a member of the Rural Bank in Linha Imperial, called “Bauernkasse” by German immigrants.
“I became a member here at 9 years old, in 1940. Back then, it was still the Rural Bank;
it wasn’t yet Sicredi. My father had money invested in the cooperative, and at the end of the year, he went there. I sent the coins that I had, that I had gotten from my grandparents, my parents, neighbors. We’ve put our trust in Sicredi ever since those days. Today I have even greater trust. I have always been a believer in cooperativism and in associating with others. It’s in my soul.”
