Participou da fundação da Sicredi Botucaraí RS e foi o primeiro presidente da Confederação Sicredi.
“O Sicredi teve vários ciclos que merecem ser resgatados. O primeiro foi em 1986, depois do Plano Cruzado. Houve a retomada da confiança dos associados pelas
cooperativas. Os dirigentes tiveram que ir para a linha de frente e eles sentiram mais confiança no trabalho que fizeram. Naquele mesmo ano, nós mudamos a maneira da administração financeira centralizada, deixando mais responsabilidades nas cooperativas e dando à Central uma capacidade de monitoramento melhor. Outro ciclo importante foi em 1988, quando nós decidimos pela informatização padronizada das cooperativas de crédito. Nem todas as cooperativas tiveram coragem de fazer o investimento necessário para a compra dos computadores. Mas esse foi um marco histórico. Foi um alicerce para aquilo que está sendo feito até hoje.”

“Sicredi went through various episodes that deserve to be noted. The first was in 1986, after the Cruzado Plan. There was a return of confidence in credit unions by their members. The leaders had to go to the frontline and they felt more confident of the work they were doing. That same year, we made changes to the centralized financial management, giving more responsibilities to the credit unions
and giving the Regional Office the ability for improved monitoring. Another important episode was in 1988, when we decided on standardized computerization for the credit unions. Not all the credit unions had the courage to make the necessary investment to purchase computers. But this was an historic event. It was the foundation for all that is being done today.”
Vice-presidente da OCB-GO e presidente da Cooperativa Agrovale. Foi um dos primeiros associados da Sicredi Vale GO.
“Na prática, o cooperativismo é um instrumento de ajuda às pessoas, de ajuda ao desenvolvimento. Mas existem dificuldades. Quando se tem profissionalismo, as dificuldades são menores. Com a chegada do Sicredi à nossa região, nós estamos percebendo que as nossas riquezas estão crescendo e sendo distribuídas proporcionalmente, para cada um de nós.”
