Relationship: At Sicredi, the members own the business. Therefore, the credit unions try to get the members involved and actively participate in their communities.
Community financial institution: Credit unions keep their financial resources where they operate, to be used for the benefit of their members and the community.
Cooperative Act: The relationship between a credit union and its members generates a lot of competition. Because the member-owners are also the consumers, the Cooperative Act distinguishes the relationship from that between a vendor and a customer, with benefits recognized by law.
Increases income: Due to their cooperative nature, being part of the System and their performance in the market, Sicredi’s credit unions increase income for their members, and indirectly for the community.
Cooperative Autonomy: Sicredi’s credit unions have considerable autonomy in making local and regional decisions.
Organized system: Sicredi’s credit unions have a strong cooperative brand and specialized companies and economies of scale at all levels, which supports growth and continuity.
Shared liability: As members of Sicredi, credit unions reduce their risks and become more solid, with tools that provide their members and the community with security and reliability.
