Extending the reach of cooperativism
At the end of the 2011-2015 strategic planning cycle, now backed by a nationwide consolidated structure and a favorable regulatory environment, Sicredi initiated a new phase in its history with a challenge: to grow and generate value for more people and communities.
With goals focused on growth and social inclusion, geared not only towards host communities, the strategic planning for the 2016-2020 period included a Sicredi with an array of accents, present throughout all regions of the nation and making a difference locally. We defined the areas of responsibility for each central and each credit union, identifying opportunities for growth and outlining plans for expansion.
The strategies and actions developed during the period allowed the institution to consolidate its reach at a national level. At the same time, we revalidated our uniqueness as a credit union and maintained our regional identifies and proximity with our members, from rural regions to the nation’s major capitals.
Present in all regions of the country
Prior even to drafting the 2016-2020 strategic plan, we reached a milestone in our geographic expansion with our arrival in Rio de Janeiro, the 11th Brazilian state hosting our operations up to that point.
