Cooperative Central - Central North. At an extraordinary general assembly, on April 22, 2015, an alteration was made with the aim of adopting a name that reflected the central area of operation, allowing all independent credit unions to be connected to the new name, without having to cite each state individually.
Still part of this expansion movement, Sicredi directed its operations towards states in the north and northeastern regions of the country, with the affiliation of a fifth central. In August 2015, during a National Forum of Sicredi Presidents and Executive Directors, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding, a migration process was initiated for the current Sicredi Cooperative Central North/Northeast.
Created in 1993, headquartered in Cabedelo/PB, the central was active in nine sta- tes within the Northeast region - Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe -, and in Pará, in the North, with over 100 branches.
