Greater security and transparency
In 2013 Sicredi concluded the integral auto-mation process for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, covering everything from the branches to the Sicredi Administrative Center – CAS. This is an important milestone in obtaining compliance best practices and excellence in operational security.
To this end, of note is the focused effort
on granting property financing, through
which the integration of Sicredi into the Housing Financial System (SFH, Portuguese abbreviation) allowed members to use their Government Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS, Portuguese abbreviation) resources to purchase their own homes. Since the application of the pilot project, in 2013, the entire process for handling documents and approving operations is conducted online. We were thereby able to build equity for our members, through low-risk business.
Microcredit was another modality launched by the institution with a relevant financial impact, geared towards the needs of low-income individuals and small entrepreneurs, which currently make up the majority of our members, in terms of legal
