O Programa Pertencer fortaleceu a responsabilidade dos sócios com o futuro do empreendimento, aproximando os associados da gestão do negócio. A formação dos associados e das futuras lideranças das cooperativas passou a ser trabalhada pelo Programa Crescer, que prepara as pessoas para participar de forma responsável da gestão.
Ao mesmo tempo, todos os caminhos percorridos fazem par- te, também, de uma história de muitos autores, escrita pelo esforço coletivo de uma legião de obstinados que, ao longo de mais de um século, construíram o cooperativismo de crédito brasileiro. Solidifi- cada pelos valores e princípios do cooperativismo, a causa lançada pelos pioneiros sobreviveu ao tempo. A fé e a perseverança serviram de motivação quando foi preciso reestruturar o cooperativismo de crédito. Os líderes foram capazes de resgatar os ideais que haviam sobrevivido, em apenas nove Caixas Rurais remanescentes, para reiniciar a jornada. Outra característica das lideranças era o vigor político necessário para convencer os representantes do País a mu- darem a Constituição. E as cooperativas conquistaram o direito de existir no Sistema Financeiro Nacional.

All the paths taken over the years are part of a history written by the collective effort of a legion of determined people who, for over a century, developed credit unions in Brazil. Fortified by the values
and principles of cooperativism,
the cause begun by the pioneers stood the test of time. When it became necessary to restructure the financial cooperative system, faith and perseverance were motivating factors. The leaders were able to revive the ideas that had survived from just nine remaining Rural Banks to get the journey back on track. The leaders also had the political energy necessary to convince the country’s representatives to change the Constitution, and in fact, the credit unions successfully obtained the right to be part of the National Financial System.
