The first branches to adopt the visual identity on a national and regional scale were inaugurated in May 2016, in the city of São Paulo/SP, on Avenida Paulista, and in Crissiumal/RS. Noting high satisfaction indexes among members, work began on renovating the more than 1,500 branches spread throughout Brazil.
With branches increasingly less focused on financial transactions and more focused on promoting and strengthening relationships with members, Sicredi guaranteed its physical expansion, contrary to the pattern noted in the financial market in general terms. As a cooperative financial institution, we want to be close to our members in the region where we operate. This is a competitive edge for us.
A milestone that clearly marks the application of this strategy was reached in 2017, when we surpassed the number of 200 municipalities where we are the only physically available financial institution, making the financial inclusion of these populations viable.
Creation of the Resource Administrator
In 2016, we internalized our resource management and structured an area responsible for portfolio management, preparing investment strategies and appraising markets. Internally, the cre- ation of the Resource Administrator fostered savings and diversified in- vestment possibilities for our members with greater security. Currently, our ad- ministrator manages around 33 billion Brazilian reais in internal investment and pension funds, while also providing partner products. We hold 18th place in the Top Asset ranking by Investidor Institucional magazine. We hold a “Strong” rating from the risk classifi- cation agency Fitch Ratings, one of the most respected in the world.
